Michael St.Clair
Recording artist, guitarist, songwriter and producer Michael St. Clair was born in Birmingham, England and moved with his family to Canada. Early musical influences such as Miles Davis, Santana and Keith Jarrett inspired his creative juices and he began his successful career by studying guitar with the national virtuoso Victor Paswasity.
This world class entertainer has performed and recorded with artists as talented and varied as Percy Sledge, Ben E. King, Eddie Bullen, Ian Thomas, Erroll Starr, Liberty Silver, Del Shannon, Dianne Heatherington, The Coasters, The Drifters, The Crystals, The Presidents, Vivienne Williams and was a prominent member of '80s rock group The Extras and '90s stalwarts The Arsenals. He has made several movie appearances including Chicago and the Al Green Story.
Michael formed his own production company, Crackers Productions which has produced releases for The Arsenals, Juno award winner Otis Gayle, J.V. Dixon, Kiran, Matt Maxwell, the documentary Color Blinds, TV and radio jingles, and various demos and soundtracks. Most recently, he has had a top 10 hit single with Jacksoul on BMG and was awarded a Socan Urban Songwriter Award.
Blues Beach World is Michael’s debut release as a lead performer. His soon to be released follow-up CD, Urban Traveler, will delight jazz, reggae and world music fans.
