It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of one of Canada's most celebrated jazz musicians. composer, bandleader and educator, Billy Robinson. The warm-toned tenor saxophonist originally from Fort Worth Texas, whom Freddie Hubbard dubbed “The Mystic” played with Charles Mingus’ band prior to his debut on Archie Shepp's monumental 'Attica Blues' sessions.
We here at G-THREE are honored to have been associated with Billy as he was an inspiration to us all.
